1. Thursday night Victory at Duke to earn the Victory Bell
Background: Carolina played one game on national television during the regular season: at Duke on a Thursday Night. Carolina went out and played their best game of the season, dominating the Blue Devils (then ranked #25) 45-20. This was Carolina’s most complete game and only victory over a ranked opponent. It was especially sweet seeing as it came against Duke. It was a demonstration of how good the Heels could (and should) have been all year.

Surprisingly, the 25-point victory was not as big as it should have been, as Carolina turned the ball over several times in the first half. However, the Heels utterly dominated their biggest rivals and proved that they were better than they played all season. Also, Duke was a very solid football team (if they had beaten Carolina they would have played in the ACC Championship game). To beat a good team, on their home field, by 25 points is very impressive, and was the high point of the year for Carolina.
