It’s still Carolina Football!

At the end of the day, the Quick Lane Bowl is still the last time fans will be able to watch Carolina football until next August. This was one of the more interesting teams to watch in recent memory for the Tar Heels. They had some really great wins (GT, Pitt, Virginia, SDSU), they played really well and hard a lot of games (Duke, ND, Liberty, Clemson) and then they mysteriously looked like a completely different football team in a few games that fans want to forget (State, Miami, ECU, VT).

I’m curious to see which team shows up. I thought for sure after the Duke game that the team had turned the corner and would finish out the season playing like UNC Football team #2 — playing hard and good, solid football. But instead Carolina came out flat and got embarrassed on their home field. That was senior day, against a rival, in the last home game of the season, so if Carolina can’t get up for that game, maybe they will struggle getting up for the bowl. But I really don’t know. All fans can do is watch and wait and see how the team looks on Friday and cheer hard that one of the good Carolina football teams shows up.
