3. Joseph Forte, 1999-2001
The only player from this millennium to make the list, Forte also only played for two years at Carolina. An all-American in his second season, Forte was not as good of a shooter as some of the other players on this list. He shot 45% over his career, including 37% behind the arc. Good numbers, but not extraordinary.

However, Forte still found ways to score, and averaged almost 19 points a game at UNC. Like Stackhouse, he would have had a chance to set UNC’s all-time scoring record had he played all four years, as he scored 1,290 points in just two seasons. Forte won the ACC Player of the Year award his sophomore season, and also led the Heels to a Final Four in 2000.
