UNC Basketball: 2015-16 Projected Starting Lineup

Point Guard: Joel Berry
Backup: Nate Britt
In this projected lineup, let’s assume that Marcus Paige will leave for the NBA after his junior season. That leaves a vacancy at the point guard position and either the junior Nate Britt or the sophomore Joel Berry to start in his place.

Berry gets the start in this lineup because he has a higher ceiling offensively and projects to be playing at a much higher level 16 months from now than Britt will. To me, Nate Britt is a Bobby Frasor type- a solid ball handler and veteran leader off the bench. Berry could develop into a Ty Lawson speedster and passer at the point, and is the perfect match for the new lineup UNC will be rolling out to start the 2014-15 season.
