Class of 2017 prospect Kevin Knox discusses his recruitment at the McDonald’s All-American Game in Chicago.

The annual McDonald’s All-American Games are taking place this week in Chicago, Illinois and the nation’s top recruits are participating in the all-star game.

Practices will be held on Monday and Tuesday, with the actual game taking place Wednesday night in the United Center.

While many of the players are committed to schools already, there are a few that are still undecided. That includes UNC target Kevin Knox.

The 2017 forward is down to UNC, Duke, Kentucky and Florida State. He will make his long-awaited decision sometime in the first week or two of April and one team will be very happy to land the five-star prospect.

Following Monday’s practice, Knox talked each of the teams left on his list. Here’s what he had to say about the Tar Heels:

"“They’re doing really well. They want me to come in and fill what Justin Jackson is doing. He’s probably going to be a first round draft pick. They said Joel (Berry) and Theo (Pinson) are probably going to come back and I would be able to come in and play with those guys.”"

The most interesting note from that is that the Tar Heels believe Berry is coming back. It’s likely the point guard does come back but to hear that the program believes it too is a positive.

Jackson is likely headed to the NBA, which opens up a spot for the talented Knox. The two have a similar game and Knox can step right in and play the role.

Knox did also say that Kentucky and Duke players have both been trying to convince him to pick their school while at the McDonald’s All-American Games.

He will make his decision in the next few weeks so stay tuned for more on his recruitment as it becomes available.
