There's no reason to expect much sympathy from UNC fans over NC State losing Will Wade. After all, the Wolfpack decided to get involved with that guy and anyone could've predicted that Wade, a man that makes Bob Huggins look like John Wooden in comparison, would leave NC State high and dry for an extra single dollar.
But, when Wade starts ripping the ACC, we've got a problem. The LSU coach, on his second tour with the Tigers after being fired in 2022 for being a dishonest schmuck, had the nerve to tell CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein that he couldn't win in the ACC.

"The saying, 'The SEC, it just means more' it's true. It's 100 percent the truth," Wade said. "We've got tremendous resources down here just because of the revenue that's generated through our basketball and football contracts. I think we have the ability to compete with the best in the SEC and when you compete with the best in the SEC, you have the opportunity to compete nationally."
Oh yeah, it's the ACC's fault that a coach soaking in lies and mediocrity can't win. Come on, man.
Will Wade couldn't win in the ACC, and he won't win anywhere else
Like most coaches that can't win without breaking the rules in place, Wade blames circumstance for his one trip to the Sweet 16 in his 12 seasons of coaching. And this walking clown show loved to take little shots at the Tar Heels. Whether it was about Ven-Allen Lubin or something else. Wade just had to do anything to puff out his little chest and talk big.
Sometimes you feel bad for people like that. You just want to pat them on their tiny, insecure heads and tell them it will be alright. With that said, Wade is a different case because of his past. Carolina fans will never get over the way he called out Hubert Davis over how he handled VAL. It was a joke then and it remains silly now.
Would I normally care about hate-watching a team? Nah. Not enough hours in the day to waste for that. But I'll make a special exception for LSU because I hope the rest of the SEC continuously mops the floor with Wade and I will take special joy in seeing it happen. Dare I say, it will just mean more.
