He barely unpacked his bags in Raleigh before taking shots at Hubert Davis!

Will Wade has been at NC State for all of five minutes (okay, it's almost three months now, but still). However, Wade already hates North Carolina and has started taking shots at the UNC basketball program's head coach.

To provide some context, this video surfaced on social media. Wade is discussing transfer Ven-Allen Lubin, who we all know left North Carolina to head to NC State.

In case you had trouble hearing him, this was Wade's full statement:

“The other school was too dumb to play him. When [Lubin] plays 28+ minutes — he’s done that in 23 games — he averages 15 and 8. I don’t know why the hell they didn’t play him, but we’re gonna play him, so he’s gonna average 15 and 8.”

Basically what Wade is saying is this: Hubert Davis doesn't know how to utilize his players correctly.

Some Tar Heel fans will agree with Wade, especially considering that the fan base has been disgruntled by the lack of development for some key players they've brought in.

Others will point to the lack of size the Tar Heels had and how Hubert Davis tried his best to mix and match with what he had available. Lubin played more than 28 minutes on only five occasions this past season; he's not a player like Armando Bacot, who forces you to play him more than you'd like most of the time.

Let's also remember this fact: Ven-Allen Lubin is tremendously undersized for a "big man," standing at 6-foot-8.

North Carolina's goal this offseason was to add size. They did just that, headlined by the addition of transfer Henri Veesaar. Lubin was originally slated to return to Chapel Hill but elected to enter the transfer portal in the final hour, basically setting up his departure from the UNC basketball program.

Lubin backed out of his original deal he had in place and was forced to look elsewhere. Let's not get it twisted, Mr. Wade.

The important thing here is this: Will Wade already hates the UNC basketball program. NC State hired a head coach who will add some extra headlines to this in-state rivalry, as you know Tar Heel fans will keep receipts for when Lubin doesn't live up to Wade's expectations this season.

Please, let Lubin play 28 minutes against our newly-loaded frontcourt when the UNC basketball program travels to Raleigh this season.

Let the games begin.
