While the UNC football program has been putting in the work on the transfer portal, no one expected the Tar Heels to be in the mix for this star wide receiver.

On Friday, Pete Nakos of On3 reported that Bill Belichick & Michael Lombardi spoke with NC State transfer KC Concepcion’s camp on Thursday night. Based on the report, Concepcion is expected to visit Chapel Hill once the dead period ends at the beginning of the new calendar year.
Bet ya didn't expect to hear that one today!
Now, this has nothing to do with Concepcion's talent. The dude is an absolute baller, coming off a 10-touchdown season for the Wolfpack. This is more about the in-state rivalry between the two programs, as a move like this would absolutely make social media go crazy.
Imagine how NC State fans would feel if Concepcion is lining up at wide receiver for the UNC football program next season (remember- the two teams are scheduled to play in Raleigh in 2025).
In this new world of college athletics, it's only a matter of time before things like this become more common. While we still wouldn't understand why anyone would leave North Carolina to go to a school like NC State or Duke, it is understandable that is a business now and players will flock to wherever the best situation is for them.
Obviously, Concepcion's last stop doesn't bother Bill Belichick or Michael Lombardi: they are simply trying to bring the best available talent to the UNC Football program.
I don't know about you, but I'm really hoping this pairing happens!
