The UNC basketball standout was outstanding, posting three double-double performances.
His week started with a 17-point, 10 rebound effort against Notre Dame in the second round of the ACC Tournament. The following day, Lubin scored 10 points while recording 13 rebounds (to go along with 3 blocks) in a hard-fought victory over Wake Forest in the quarterfinals.
On Friday night against Duke, Lubin put together his best performance of the week, scoring 20 points while hauling in 10 rebounds. He connected on eight of his 11 shots from the floor, as two of his three misses were from three-point range (an area he rarely shoots from).
Overall, Lubin averaged 15.6 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks per-game, playing a significant role in the UNC basketball program's run to the tournament semifinals.
While the tournament didn't end as planned for North Carolina, Lubin has developed into a major bright spot for the program. He scored in double-figures in each of his last 9 games, which essentially coincides with the Tar Heels hot stretch through the end of the regular season into postseason play.
Lubin and the UNC basketball program hope that they still have basketball to play this season as they await the reveal of the NCAA Tournament brackets on Sunday night. Tar Heel fans are hopeful to see Lubin in action during the NCAA Tournament.
Regardless of the outcome of the bracket reveal, Lubin appears to be a guy the Tar Heels can build around heading into next season. He's proven he can be extremely effective in the front court and can be a major contributor if he elects to stay in Chapel Hill for another season.
