Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball program have been very intentional in terms of recruiting in this offseason's transfer portal.
North Carolina is excited about the cast and crew that will return for next season. Although Trayanna Crisp has elected to transfer, the Tar Heels are still projected to bring back a majority of its roster from this year's Sweet 16 group. Featuring a wealth of young talent, the Tar Heels are strategically looking to add some veteran depth, but specifically are looking for players who fit what the program is looking for.
Nyla Harris, a transfer from Louisville, was coined by Banghart as the "perfect fit." Is another ideal fit strongly considering joining the UNC women's basketball program to close out her collegiate career?
Middle Tennessee State junior guard transfer Ta'Mia Scott currently has 3 visits scheduled, per source.

Alabama - April 9-10
Maryland - April 11-12
North Carolina - April 17-18
Scott averaged 16.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last season at MTSU.
According to Skim Milkey on X, Middle Tennessee State guard Ta'Mia Scott has scheduled a visit to North Carolina. Following trips to Alabama and Maryland, Chapel Hill will be the last of three scheduled visits for the 6-foot guard.
Scott has spent her first three college seasons at Middle Tennessee State. After playing sparingly during her true freshman season, the Clarksville, Tennessee native emerged as a starter for the Blue Raiders and quickly became one of the team's top scoring threats.
During her junior season, Scott led Middle Tennessee to a 26-9 record and an NCAA Tournament berth. She finished the year averaging 16.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per-game, knocking down 44.8% of her attempts from the floor.
Of course, competing at a mid-major conference school is a bit different than what the Atlantic Coast Conference has to offer. However, Banghart and the Tar Heels believe that Scott is more than capable of making the jump, continuing to play at a high level if she elects to close out her collegiate career in Chapel Hill.
