We've waited long enough for the UNC women's basketball program's 2025-2026 non-conference schedule, but it has officially arrived!

The good news is that the schedule certainly doesn't disappoint.

Courtney Banghart's team will be battle-tested against a highly competitive schedule of teams. Thanks to UNC women's basketball play-by-play announcer Matt Krause, here are some interesting tidbits for the Tar Heels' non-conference slate:

-Three NET top 10 opponents, six NET top 60 opponents

-Two Final Four teams (three if counting exhibition).

-Seven teams with a share of a conference regular season or tournament title last year.

The UNC women's basketball program will officially open up the 2025-2026 season when they host NC Central on November 3 at Carmichael Arena. North Carolina will host Elon on November 6 before heading to Las Vegas for the WBCA Challenge.

While some of the schedule has been previously revealed, we now know the rest of the non-conference opponents on this year's schedule. The Tar Heels will once again travel to Greensboro to take on North Carolina A&T, and are slated to host UNCG, Boston University, UNCW and Charleston Southern in Chapel Hill.

Courtney Banghart has once again put her team in a position to face some stellar competition essentially right out of the gate and throughout non-conference play. With the goal of making a deep NCAA Tournament run in mind, teams that face strong challenges early on tend to benefit, as the experience alone is something that makes a huge difference.

Heading into a new year with some added reinforcements, the goals for the UNC women's basketball program remain the same: continue building on the program's success, ultimately reaching higher goals than they did a season ago.
