We've known about the UNC women's basketball program's extremely competitive non-conference slate, but now we know the details about the team's ACC schedule for the 2025-2026 season.

Conference play for North Carolina begins on December 14 when they host Louisville at Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels will close out the 2025 calendar year with a trip to Boston College on December 29, their first road test of the ACC slate.
Courtesy of Matt Krause, the play-by-play voice of the UNC women's basketball program, here are some interesting tidbits regarding the conference schedule:
-This season will mark the first time ever that the program will play on New Year's Day.
-The eight days that sit between the Tar Heels matchups against Syracuse (January 25) and NC State (February 2) is the longest non-Christmas in-ACC conference play break during the Courtney Banghart era.
-North Carolina will play at Virginia Tech on a Thursday for the first time since 2019.
Of course, everyone looks for the "big games" in conference play, especially Duke. The Tar Heels will travel to Durham for the first meeting on February 15, and will host their archrivals on March 1 to close out the regular season.
In total, the UNC women's basketball program will play 9 conference games at Carmichael Arena, while the other half will be played on the road.
There will be plenty of challenges for the UNC women's basketball program throughout the duration of the 2025-2026 season, but it's nothing that Courtney Banghart and her squad aren't ready for. The program has the mindset of wanting to compete against the best the country has to offer, and will be ready to go once ACC play kicks off in mid-December.
While they have a bit of a new look this season, the goal of making a deep run in March remains at the forefront of the UNC women's basketball program's plans.
