The homecoming was a successful one for Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball program.

Playing in front of the Carmichael crowd for the first time since November 23, the Tar Heels rolled to a decisive victory over the visiting Boston University Terriers.

Right from the opening tip-off, it was evident that the Tar Heels were the better squad. North Carolina made its presence felt on the glass throughout the entire game, reeling in 18 offensive rebounds en route to a 20-rebound advantage.

If the Tar Heels didn't struggle mightily in the early going with capitalizing on layup attempts, this final score could've been much worse than it was.

After taking a 21-12 advantage in the first quarter, the Tar Heels defense was once again on display, holding the Terriers to just seven points in the second quarter. By halftime, the game felt out of reach, but a 28-point third quarter essentially sealed the deal.

Buckets for everyone!

A total of 10 different players scored at least once for the UNC women's basketball program, as five players scored in double-figures.

Elina Aarnisalo continues to be one of the hidden gems of the transfer portal, as she led the way with 14 points. Indya Nivar, who was honored before the game for her triple-double performance when the Tar Heels were on the road, had another strong outing which included 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

The freshman duo of Taliyah Henderson (11 points) and Nyla Brooks (10 points) provided quality minutes off the bench, while Nyla Harris fell a rebound shy of a double-double performance.

What's next?

A week off.

Unfortunately, the UNC women's basketball program won't be in action until next Sunday. When they return to action, they have a big-time matchup on the slate, as No. 22-ranked Louisville comes to town to open up ACC play for the Tar Heels.
