Since their season ended in the Sweet 16, all has been quiet on the UNC women's basketball front.

On Thursday morning, the offseason action got underway, as Trayanna Crisp has entered the transfer portal.

A 5-foot-8 guard, Crisp spent her first two collegiate seasons at Arizona State before transferring to North Carolina. After being a starter for the Sun Devils, Crisp's playing time took a significant hit as a Tar Heel, playing 20 fewer minutes per game while being relegated to a role off the bench.

Crisp had some strong performances in what will be her lone season as a Tar Heel. She scored in double-figures on six separate occasions, including a 19-point outburst in a nail-biting victory over Louisville on the road.

Now, Crisp will once again look for a new home, as she'll likely be pursuing a starters role for her final season of college eligibility. While it didn't work out in Chapel Hill the way she planned, Crisp is still a very good player who could make a major impact for the next team she joins.

For North Carolina, the offseason might be a quiet one in terms of current players hitting the transfer portal. While some key contributors have exhausted their eligibility, the players who can return have been indicating that they'll do just that, as various social media posts from the likes of Lanie Grant, Blanca Thomas and Jordan Zubich make it seem like the roster (for the most part) will remain intact.

Expect Courtney Banghart and the UNC women's basketball to look at potential options via the transfer portal to help fill some of the roster voids they currently have, but as of this moment, the roster has the makings of being a strong one by the time the 2025-2026 season gets underway.
