After being ranked No. 15 in the AP Preseason Top 25 poll, the UNC women's basketball program earned another top-20 ranking leading up to the 2024-2025 season.

The USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll was released on Thursday as North Carolina comes in at No. 16 on the initial rankings.

Just like the AP poll, the Coaches Poll is filled with ACC squads. There are six programs represented by this poll, all of which are ranked among the top 20 in the country.

Needless to say, the ACC will once again be a very competitive conference!

While this year's roster features some new faces, the UNC women's basketball program also has some key returners. Alyssa Ustby looks to anchor this year's squad, while former transfers Lexi Donarski and Maria Gakdeng look to continue making major impacts in their second season on campus.

The UNC women's basketball program will open up the 2024-2025 against Charleston Southern on Monday, November 4.
