UNC vs. Duke betting line doesn't give much faith in the Tar Heels

The wait is almost over. There's nothing quite like the North Carolina vs. Duke rivalry game and things are made so much better when the action takes place in Chapel Hill. Come Saturday night, the Tar Heels are hoping to pull off a statement win against their hated rivals.

UNC's Caleb Wilson 1-of-3 freshmen making unique history this season

However, not many people are giving them a chance to do so. As things stand, the Vegas oddsmakers have North Carolina as 6.5-point underdogs, with Duke, the No. 4 team in the country, considered the heavy favorites. Will Caleb Wilson and Co. be able to stun everyone by taking down the Blue Devils?

UNC basketball could care less about being an underdog vs. Duke

Normally, seeing a line like this might cause the fanbase to get worried, but come on: nothing matters when Duke and UNC go to war. The line could be at 20 points and it doesn't take away from the fact that anything can happen when these two sides take the floor.

We've been treated to some incredible games in the past and more of the same is expected to be on display in this one. In order for UNC to have a shot, there's no question that Wilson, a 5-star freshman, will have to be at his best. He'll take the hardwood averaging 20 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game.

It's not just him who will need to execute at a high level. The rest of the starting lineup needs to be on point. Will Luka Bogavac be ready to deliver with another strong showing off of the bench too? If so, that would be monstrous for UNC and Hubert Davis.

Come Saturday night, all eyes will be on this showdown. North Carolina must do everything possible to slow down Cameron Boozer, who is also looking like one of the best players in the country along with Wilson. That won't be easy, but again, you never know what might go down when the Tar Heels and Blue Devils dance.
