Before we discuss the game, can we just talk about how good the navy blue alternate uniforms look?!

Wearing the alternate uniforms on Thursday night, North Carolina once again put together a second-half surge, this time en route to a victory over the visiting Clemson Tigers.

The Tar Heels started the game hot, knocking down three of their first four shots from the floor. However, Courtney Banghart's team went cold, allowing Clemson to hold a two-point lead in a low-scoring first half.

Similar to the win over NC State, the third quarter of action proved to be the difference.

The Tar Heels outscored the Tigers 19-12 over the third quarter, giving them a lead heading into the final 10 minutes of the game. From there, North Carolina did exactly what it needed to do to withstand the lead, making it impossible for Clemson to make a comeback run.

Harris and Grant deliver

The duo of Nyla Harris and Lanie Grant were once again outstanding, combining for 33 of North Carolina's 53 points.

Harris led the charge with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Grant contributed 16 points while knocking down a pair of three-pointers. No other Tar Heel scored in double-figures, showing the heavy load that the Tar Heel duo carried in this one.

Another big win

You can never have enough Quad 1 victories, as Courtney Banghart's team continues to stack them.

After falling out of the AP Top 25 Poll, the Tar Heels are starting to get on a bit of a roll, showcasing what this team is truly capable of. The road ahead isn't an easy one, but it's one that UNC won't be afraid of, looking for more opportunities to capture some big-time victories.

They won't have to wait long for that next opportunity, as they travel to Winston-Salem for a Sunday afternoon clash with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
