As the May 27 NBA Draft withdrawl deadline is now under a week away, all eyes are on Matt Able as he ponders his next move.

Will he return to the college ranks to play for North Carolina, or did he receive the feedback he was looking for from NBA scouts and executives that will convince him to stay in the draft and start his professional basketball career?

This decision has been one Tar Heel fans have been anxious for, given that Able was such a major addition for UNC this offseason. If he decides to take his talents to the pros, there's no clear-cut answer as to who will fill the void at one of the guard spots, as Michael Malone's starting unit will have at least one question mark as the offseason continues to roll.

UNC’s Matt Able shares what will ultimately drive his NBA Draft decision

For Tar Heel fans who are stressing over this decision, take some time to listen to what David Sisk had to say on the matter. It should help provide some clarity as the decision draws near.

David Sisk provides a much-needed Matt Able update

While making an appearance on the Heel Report, David Sisk explained what he's been hearing from those tied to the NBA regarding the best route for Able to take:

“I’d say of the individuals I’ve spoken to, I’d say, and you’ve got to remember I’ve heard back on this specific question from eight or nine (people), but I’ve probably spoken about him in the last couple of weeks to about 15,” David Sisk said. “And, I’m going to say 90 percent of those, I’d say that’s probably a fair number, say that he needs to come back. They’re saying what you’re saying, he needs to come back. I feel, number one, they feel he needs one more year of college and maybe number two it could help his draft stock.”

Based on what Sisk is reporting, the majority of the individuals he's spoken to believe that Able would benefit from returning to college for another season. In fact, those who have talked to Sisk believe that playing out his sophomore season at North Carolina could help his draft stock, putting him in a better position to be a sure-fire first rounder this time next year.

Able has an interesting decision to make, one that he is taking as much time as he needs to figure out. While he takes his time sorting through his future options, Tar Heel fans remain on the edge of their seats, hoping that decision leads him to Chapel Hill.
