It's safe to say that no rock has been left unturned by Bill Belichick, Michael Lombardi and the UNC football program during the transfer portal recruiting window.

Even though the Tar Heels have added quite a bit of talent via the portal, it seems they aren't done, showing interest in a very talented safety.

On Christmas day, Pete Nakos reported that the UNC football program was one of a handful of teams showing interest in Georgia State safety Jeremiah Johnson. An All-Sun Belt selection, Johnson has 164 career tackles to go along with two interceptions in his three seasons at Georgia State.

Johnson's journey started at Mississippi Delta Community College, a place where he played two seasons before transferring to Georgia State. Now, with the new NCAA rules being put into place regarding JUCO student-athletes, Johnson will have eligiblity to work with as he aims to finish out his college career on a high note.

For the UNC football program, their goal this offseason is to add as much talent as possible. The new regime, led by Belichick and Lombardi, are going through every potential option out there as they look to bolster the roster for year one of this new era, as adding some secondary help to a unit that is losing some key contributors would definitely be a wise investment to make.

It's probably safe to say that the UNC football program isn't done adding talent this offseason, as there is plenty of time left for the Tar Heels to bring in some top-tier talent.
