As a tease to the upcoming schedule reveal for the 2025 college football season, the ACC announced the conference openers for each respective program.

Bill Belichick and the UNC football program will face quite the test when they kick-off conference action.

The UNC football program will host reigning ACC champion Clemson on October 4 to begin conference play. North Carolina is one of two ACC teams who will begin conference play during Week 6 action.

This will mark the first meeting between the two programs since 2023. In that matchup, the Tigers defended their home field, sending the Tar Heels home with a 31-20 loss.

North Carolina hasn’t had much success against Clemson as of late, losing each of the last six meetings and 9 of the last 10 games. With the new regime in town, the UNC football program hopes to start conference play off with a bang this season, avenging the recent struggles the program has had against Clemson.

The full 2025 ACC college football schedule will be revealed on Monday, January 27. For now, all we know is that the UNC football program will host TCU on opening night while Clemson rolls into town to begin ACC play a few weeks later.
