It's been a crazy month for the UNC football program since it last took the field on November 30.

From Mack Brown being relieved of his duties as the program's head coach to Bill Belichick being tabbed as the program's next leader, there have been plenty of changes in Chapel Hill. While Belichick and his staff look to prepare for next season, the current team still has a game to play, as they'll square off against UConn in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl on Saturday morning in Boston, Massachusetts.

Freddie Kitchens, who will return to the coaching staff next season, will lead the group in the bowl game. While Omarion Hampton won't suit up as he prepares for the NFL Draft, the majority of the roster will still be in place, so you can expect to see a lot of familiar faces among the group playing at Fenway.

UConn finished the regular season with an 8-4 record, as they won four of their last five games. This group has been battle tested, as each of those games have been decided by 8 points or less.

One thing is for certain: the Huskies want to run the football. Cam Edwards and Durell Robinson headline a very talented running back group, as each of them ran for over 700 yards this season. Combined, they found the end zone 15 times, rushing for a total of 1,478 yards. Add Mel Brown's 577 yards on the ground, and this group tops the 2,000 yard rushing mark for the season.

North Carolina must focus on stopping the run if they want to win this game.

While these two schools are known as basketball schools, they'll meet for the fourth time ever on Saturday morning on a football field (in a baseball stadium). While some call these types of bowl games meaningless, there's still a lot to play for on both sides, especially for the Tar Heels as they are set to kick-off a new era of UNC football next fall.
