UNC Football puts together embarrassing display in loss to Boston College

If it wasn't for the loss to James Madison earlier in the season, this one would be the worst of the UNC football program's season.

There aren't many words to describe how pathetic the UNC football program performed on Saturday afternoon in their 20-point loss to Boston College.

Don't let the final score fool you: it was a much bigger blowout than the score indicates.

The Tar Heels didn't score an offensive touchdown until just over two minutes remaining in the game, and another garbage time touchdown with 9 seconds on the clock made the score look a little better than it actually was.

In all reality: the UNC football program got their butts kicked and simply didn't seem to care.

For a head coach who made it known he plans to return next season, his team sure didn't show any fire or motivation to help prove he still can be the leader of this program.

Quite frankly: if it wasn't for Omarion Hampton (who was held to just 53 yards on 11 carries), most of (if not all of) the Tar Heels wins this season might have just gone the other way in the record books.

Boston College controlled every aspect of the game. From running for 228 yards and three scores on the ground to picking off Jacolby Criswell on three separate occasions, the Eagles were clearly the better team and played with a purpose, unlike their counterparts in all white.

Sure, Mack Brown will say the Tar Heels "played hard." To me, this was a lifeless group who went back to the form we saw during the midway point of the season, another reminder of how change is so desperately needed in Chapel Hill.
