Four-star tight end Carson Sneed has been committed to Tennessee for nearly a full calendar year.

That appears to be on the verge of changing.

Sam Spiegelman and Chad Simmons of Rivals have flipped their predictions that they originally placed for Sneed. Now, the duo projects that Sneed will flip his commitment to the UNC football program, adding yet another talented pass catcher to an already impressive recruiting class.

This one would be rather surprising, especially considering he's a Tennessee native. Regardless, recruitments in this day and age are simply never finalized until they get on campus as freshman, as there are plenty of instances where student-athletes ultimately changed their mind and head elsewhere.

Sneed would be an excellent addition for the UNC football program. If it comes to fruition, it would provide Belichick's first recruiting class with a strong option to work with at the tight end position for years to come.

Now, Tar Heel fans will wait and see if this actually comes to fruition, as this would be a major commitment flip for the UNC football program.
