A few weeks ago, it didn't even seem possible to think that four-star EDGE Zavion Griffin-Haynes would even have the UNC football program among his group of finalists.

Now, not only did Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels secure a commitment from him, they landed his very talented brother as well!

As part of a joint ceremony at Rolesville High School on Thursday afternoon, high three-star linebacker Jayden and four-star EDGE Zavion Griffin-Haynes announced their commitments to the UNC football program.

Following Mack Brown's departure from the program, Zavion elected to re-open his recruitment, announcing that he was decommitting on November 26. While North Carolina seemed to be firmly out of the mix, the Tar Heels found their way back in it, making a strong push essentially over the last two weeks to get the job done.

The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder announced his list of four finalists about a week and a half ago, scheduling visits to each of the following programs: Clemson, Florida State, Michigan, and Nebraska as his four finalists and scheduled official visits with each. However, something switched following that announcement, leading him to reconsider what North Carolina had to offer.

Crazy how things can change in the blink of an instant!

Zavion Griffin-Haynes is currently viewed by 247Sports as one of the top 30 edge rushers in his class, ranking as the 13th-best prospect from the state of North Carolina. Jayden Griffin-Haynes, a 6-foot-3, 200-pounder who plays both wide receiver and linebacker, comes in as the No. 34-ranked player in the state.

This is an insane turn of events for Bill Belichick and the UNC football program, as they somehow, someway, not only secured a commitment from Zavion, but landed Jayden, another talented football player, as well.

A package deal that the UNC football program is certainly thrilled to secure!
