UNC Football program earns bid to play in the 2024 Fenway Bowl

Well, isn't that ironic.

The UNC football program will be heading to the Wasabi Fenway Bowl, hosted at the home of the Boston Red Sox. North Carolina will battle UConn in this bowl game on December 28, starting at 11:00 AM EST.

Wouldn't it be fitting if North Carolina hires Bill Belichick, who won six Super Bowls as the head coach of the New England Patriots, prior to this game?

I could see it now: Belichick sitting in a press box watching the game with some North Carolina gear on near his old stomping grounds of Foxsboro.

While I don't believe this was done intentionally, maybe the bowl game committees are hoping for certain news regarding the UNC football program's head coaching search.
