Well, that's not ideal...

Within a span of 24 hours, the UNC football program has lost two commitments from the Class of 2025.

The first came Monday night when three-star tight end Logan Farrell flipped his commitment to Illinois. Farrell, the No. 36-ranked tight end in the Class of 2025, made the decision following a visit to Illinois this past weekend. He had been committed to North Carolina for nearly a year, announcing his original pledge to the Tar Heels in November of 2023.

The second came on Tuesday afternoon as fellow three-star tight end Marshall Pritchett announced that he will be flipping his commitment to Alabama.

This one shouldn't be a surprise, given that there's been rumblings of this for weeks now. Pritchett has been rumored to be heavily interested in the Crimson Tide, as that essentially started to heat up throughout the month of October. Prior to flipping his commitment, Pritchett was committed to the UNC football program since March 23.

While neither recruit is a five-star blue-chip prospect, you never want to see your program losing out on players that were already committed. Now, the UNC football program is down to just 12 commitments in the Class of 2025, as you have to wonder what is going on in Chapel Hill in regard to recruiting.

Has the recent stretch of football (and the questions surrounding Mack Brown's future as the head coach) have something to do with this?

The next question UNC football fans want to know is: are there more de-commitments on the way (we sure hope not!)
