For the fourth consecutive day, the UNC football program has secured a commitment from a player within the 2026 recruiting class.
In what hopes to be the start of the commitment trail to kickstart the weekend, Keegan Chapman announced that he will be heading to Chapel Hill.

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback chose the Tar Heels over FCS programs Austin Peay, North Alabama, Samford, and West Georgia. He took two official visits: one to Florida State (which didn't result in an offer) and one to North Carolina.
North Carolina hopes that this commitment serves as a package deal. Keegan Chapman's brother, four-star wide receiver Keeyun Chapman, is set to make his college decision on Friday, as he's choosing between North Carolina and Florida State as his finalists.
It would be really nice to bring both brothers to Chapel Hill!
Bill Belichick and the UNC football program continue to work on the recruiting trail, as the number of commits within the Class of 2026 has literally risen by the day. It's safe to say some of the best high school talents want the chance to play for arguably the greatest coach to ever live, as Belichick's NFL resume and experience are areas that can help his future Tar Heels take that next step toward potential careers in the NFL.
