Under the new coaching regime, the UNC football program hopes to improve its defensive unit as a whole. The Tar Heels have struggled mightily on the defensive side of the ball and hope that the Belichick's along with the newly-hired defensive staff can make that happen.
Diaco will have some talent to work with at the linebacker position. Amare Campbell returns after a strong sophomore season while Khmori House is set to join the UNC football program after transferring in from Washington.
While the world is looking for reasons to speculate Bill Belichick's future at North Carolina, the program's staff is starting to take shape. Belichick continues to bring in veteran coaches with a wide-range of experience to surround him in his first season at the helm with the UNC football program.
