While some of us were sleeping, Bill Belichick was capping off a tremendous day in the transfer portal recruiting world.

Before the clock struck midnight, the UNC football program added a fifth transfer portal commitment of the day, as Chad Lindberg became the latest player to pledge to North Carolina.

Lindberg, a 6-foot-6, 315-pounder, is a former top-140 recruit. He originally committed to Georgia, playing 20 games over his four seasons with the Bulldogs. He then transferred to Rice, starting in 11 games during the 2024 season.

While Lindberg only has a season of eligibility remaining, his versatility should benefit the UNC football program. At Rice, Lindberg played both left guard and left tackle, as his ability to play multiple positions should help him find a home on the Tar Heels offensive line unit.

Now, the UNC football program has secured seven commitments via the transfer portal. WIth Lindberg's addition, three of those players are offensive linemen, showing that general manager Michael Lombardi wasn't joking when he stated that an emphasis was to find offensive and defensive line talent via the transfer portal.

Thursday was a big day for the UNC football as a total of five transfers committed to continue their college careers playing for Bill Belichick. As the Tar Heels continue to add talent all around the roster, the question remains:

Who's next?
