A visit to Chapel Hill was all Andrew Threatt needed to decide he wanted to be a Tar Heel.
The former Charleston Southern offensive lineman has officially committed to Bill Belichick and the UNC football program. He becomes the second transfer to commit to the Tar Heels, following Billy Edwards Jr., a guy he will be blocking for this upcoming season.

Much-needed reinforcement
The Tar Heels are set to lose the offensive linemen who accounted for 3,150 of the offense's 3,351 snaps a season ago. Adding Threatt is a major step in the right direction for the UNC football program as they aim to reshape the offensive line unit once again.
Versatility and Experience
Threatt is a 6-foot-3, 315-pound presence who has accumulated a ton of collegiate experience at Charleston Southern. Making 32 consecutive starts, Threatt played in over 1,500 snaps, seeing time at the guard and tackle positions. He ranked as the 12th-best tackle in the FCS (according to PFF), and was tabbed as a first-team All-Conference selection.
With only one season of eligibility remaining, Threatt is a guy who should make an immediate impact and can do so at multiple positions. Depending on how the rest of the offseason shapes up, Threatt could plug in at either guard or tackle, as his versatility is likely a major contributor in the UNC football program's high-level of interest in him.
