Another day, another flipped commitment for Bill Belichick and the boys in Carolina Blue!

The latest comes in the form of four-star offensive lineman J.B. Shabazz, a Class of 2026 product who was originally committed to Tennessee.

A Kernersville, North Carolina native, Shabazz is regarded by 247Sports Composite as the No. 13-ranked player from his home state. He is also viewed as the No. 22-ranked offensive lineman in the Class of 2026.

Shabazz is a 6-foot-6, 315-pound talent who attends East Forsyth High School. Even though he committed to the Volunteers on July 11, he kept his options open, as he was one of many Class of 2026 recruits in attendance for the Tar Heels season opener against TCU on Monday night.

While the final result didn't go in the Tar Heels favor, the atmosphere, energy and vibe seemed to help change Shabazz's mind on where he wants to begin his college football career.

Add another blue-chip talent to the UNC football program's 2026 recruiting class, a group that is impressive in both quality and quantity. While the country sees UNC as a current laughing stock following their blowout loss to TCU, recruits aren't letting one game dictate their thought process, as they see the bigger picture when it comes to the UNC football program's future under the direction of legendary head coach Bill Belichick.

If you want to develop your game to take that next step toward playing in the NFL, who better to be coached by than arguably the greatest coach the league has ever seen?

J.B. Shabazz sees that the future is bright in Chapel Hill and wants to be a part of it.
