The latest commitment comes from three-star wide receiver prospect Zamaurious Robertson. A 6-foot-1, 180-pounder, Robertson announced his decision on Thursday during a ceremony at Dillon High School in South Carolina.
Robertson quickly jumped onto North Carolina's radar. He attended the UNC football program's final one-day camp, putting together a performance that led to the Tar Heels to offer him a scholarship before he departed campus.
A week later, Robertson was back in Chapel Hill for an official visit, and now, he has officially committed to the UNC football program.
Crazy how things can change with the blink of an eye!
Robertson, a Dillon, South Carolina native, is viewed by 247Sports Composite as the No. 24-ranked player from his home state. Before committing to North Carolina, Robertson held offers from notable schools such as Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Liberty, and Navy.
With the addition of Robertson, North Carolina currently has 24 players from the Class of 2026 committed to the program. They have also moved up one spot to No. 17 in 247Sports' updated Class of 2026 team rankings.
The UNC football program's staff has been exploring every possible option to enhance its future rosters. They happened to find a player they really liked in Zamaurious Robertson, a guy who flew under the radar but showed the Tar Heels everything they needed to know, proving he needed to begin his college football career wearing Carolina Blue.
