Duke just put together the most epic collapse by a No. 1 seed in NCAA Tournament history, choking a 15-point halftime lead to suffer a loss to UConn in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
Just how historic was the collapse, well, you got to click on the link below for that!
However, before you do that, you'll LOVE the reaction from the Duke radio broadcast team during the final seconds of the game.
Duke just made embarrassing NCAAT history that UNC fans will adore
Typical Dookies...
As we all know so well, Duke relies on the whistle to help them out on many occasions.
When Braylon Mullins drained an insane three-pointer to put the Huskies up one with .4 seconds to go, Duke's play-by-play guy, David Shumate, proved that those people in Durham are always looking for a cop-out.
What did Shumate vie for, you ask? Well, you'll laugh at his reaction to the sequence.

He wanted a technical?!
If you've watched the NCAA Tournament this year, you KNOW there's been quite a few instances where the bench spills onto the court in excitement. Shumate clamored for Malachi Smith to get a technical foul for being off the bench in that situation, which would've bailed the Blue Devils out once again.
I mean, next time, try not to blow a 19-point lead and expect the referees to save you (yet again).
The Duke whistle was non-existent
Duke has had its way in terms of getting to the free-throw line during the NCAA Tournament, as they came into the game essentially doubling free-throw attempts compared to what their opponents earned.
Sure, good teams get to the charity stripe often, but the discrepency was noticeable to say the least.
When Duke needed its sixth man, not even Shumate could convince the crew in stripes to help them out, as this clip shows the pathetic nature that Duke operates with.
Hey David Shumate, here's a tip for next time (as we KNOW Duke has plenty of choke jobs in them), don't embarrass yourself like you did on this occasion through this desperate call for saving that was never coming.
