Tar Heel fans are doing their part to help the UNC basketball program in its recruiting efforts.
Five-star talent Dylan Mingo is in attendance for North Carolina's contest against NC Central. This is part of his official visit to campus, as the Tar Heels hope that Mingo joins Maximo Adams as part of its 2026 recruiting haul.
Tar Heel fans let Mingo know how much they want him to be a member of the UNC basketball program, as they are going above and beyond to let him know.
Meet Braden Wilkinson
You might've seen on social media the night of the season opener, a handful of "Free Luka" flyers that were passed out to students to hold up. Yes, the graphic was created by us, but the way it circulated was awesome.
Braden Wilkinson, a student at UNC, went to the Health Sciences Library to print out copies. Fortunately, Bogavac was cleared 30 minutes before tip-off, as we'll give him credit that the signs got the job done.
Well, Wilkinson's job isn't done, as he once again traveled to the Health Sciences Library, printing out "We Want Mingo" signs ahead of his visit to the Dean Smith Center.
Braden Wilkinson is back. #UNC is hosting five-star Dylan Mingo tonight. And so Wilkinson went to the Health Sciences Library, again, to print signs that say: “We Want Mingo.”

Dylan Mingo is loving the Tar Heel energy!
Before Friday night's game, Mingo received the love from the student section, which showed up well before tip-off. It appears that Mingo loved the signs, posting the below photo on his Instagram story of him with some fans who were part of the recruitment process.

The Glen Head, New York native seems to love the environment at the Dean Smith Center. While he was recruited by staff and players essentially all day long, Mingo sees first-hand just how invested Tar Heel faithful is when it comes to men's basketball.
It's safe to say Mingo knows how much of a priority he is to both the program and the fan base. Now the question is, will it be enough to convince him to call Chapel Hill his home?
