Rosser's first official visit stop will bring him back to his home state, as he will be on campus this weekend in Chapel Hill.
Roll out the Carolina Blue carpet!
Similar to what we saw with NaVorro Bowman Jr. (who committed to UConn following his official visit this past weekend), UNC would love nothing more than their prized recruiting target doing the same following his trip to North Carolina. This would be a monumental commitment for Michael Malone and his staff as they ring in this new era of Carolina basketball, one that the program hopes will draw the best available talents to Chapel Hill.
Rosser has been heavily tied to the Tar Heels even before Malone was at the helm, as the five-star forward seems to have a ton of interest in calling Chapel Hill his future home. While he hasn't committed up to this point, the Tar Heels continue to put the full-court press on to land the in-state star, and rightly so.
The momentum continues to build in UNC's favor, and you just have to believe that at this point in time, North Carolina is the favorite to land this top-tier prospect.
This is a big weekend in Chapel Hill, not only because of the football program's home opener but due to this major recruiting visit that the basketball program will be hosting. Rosser will get a great look at what Chapel Hill has to offer, a vibe that should be electric this weekend as the fans gear up for their first look at this year's football team on their home field at Kenan Stadium.
If you're heading to Chapel Hill this weekend, make sure you keep an eye out for CJ Rosser. Make sure you let him know that North Carolina is the place for him, letting him feel all the love from the passionate UNC fan base that wants nothing more than to see Malone and company return the UNC basketball program back to national relevance.
North Carolina marks Rosser's first official visit stop, and if all goes well, UNC can really distance themselves from the pack in this recruitment. While the field won't go down without a fight, UNC has the potential to put this recruitment out of reach before he even departs campus this weekend, as Malone and his staff would love to seal the deal and make a huge recruiting statement by landing the top-ranked player in his first official recruiting class.
