Will Hubert Davis be able to rise above the noise to pull in this blue chipper?

The UNC basketball program has a desperate need for talent with size, so it should come to the surprise of no one that they had a presence at the City of Palms Classic immediately after their loss to Florida in Charlotte last night.

Class of 2026 five-star Caleb Holt, a 6-foot-5, 200 pound shooting guard from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia is participating in the star studded tournament. UNC offered Holt in July and continues to be in hot pursuit. Their need for his services is laid bare in recent losses to top 25 teams this season, as shooting and rebounding have been issues.

Holt (#3 for Grayson in green) is an intriguing prospect who combines touch and athleticism. North Carolina needs plenty of both, so he has a route to impactful playing time in another season.

Acquiring Holt's services won't be easy. He's been offered by the top programs in college basketball, and they sent coaches to scout him in Fort Myers as well. Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Arkansas, and Connecticut are all schools that have offered and continue to prioritize Holt.

It will take an all-hands approach from the North Carolina basketball program to reel in Caleb Holt. Let's hope that Hubert Davis and company can close the deal!
