UNC basketball's latest choke job is one that's absolutely sickening

Seems like nothing has been adjusted for Hubert Davis team.

The UNC basketball program has some serious issues.

Another day, another blown double-digit lead. Only this time, the Tar Heels were up double-digits on multiple occasions and weren't able to actually win the game.

Stanford took tips from its fellow ACC schools in how to make life difficult for the Tar Heels. Behind an elite guard who was stellar, the Cardinal captured the lead just before the final minute of the second half and never looked back.

Ebuka Okorie becomes the third consecutive guard to score 27 or more points against North Carolina, as the Tar Heels had zero answers for the freshman. He finished with 36 points and 9 assists, and got plenty of help from his teammates.

Ryan Agarwal, who averages 6.3 points per game, drained five three pointers.
Jeremy Dent-Smith, a 31% three-point shooter who averages 6.6 points of his own, looked like vintage Steph Curry, draining six of his seven shots from beyond the arc.

Not only did Stanford match the three-point shooting of SMU and Wake Forest, but surpassed it, draining 16 triples in the win.

Another wasted effort

Henri Veesaar and Caleb Wilson did their part, combining for 52 points and 15 rebounds. There wasn't much more the duo could do to win this one.

UNC led for the majority but...

UNC actually led this game for 37:56 of game time. The 1:35 they didn't hold the lead was the time that matter the most, which goes to show how they choked this game away.

Anyone care to make adjustments?

When you shoot 58% from the floor, you should win that game.

When your defense allows the other team to shoot 57% from deep, you have a MAJOR issue.

The coaching staff needs to take some heat for the horrible defensive effort this group has put together in conference play. It's tiring of the same answers from Hubert Davis without any clear resolution to the issues at hand.

Where's Jonathan Powell?

We'll get into this more as the week progresses, but 3 minutes from Powell total is unacceptable.

What's next?

The UNC basketball program heads to Cal for what will probably be another three-point shootout for a Tar Heel opponent.
