The hype in Chapel Hill currently surrounds Bill Belichick and the UNC football program.
Just days before Belichick's debut as the Tar Heels' head coach, all eyes are on North Carolina as they embark on this new chapter of UNC football. While almost everyone is locked in for Monday night's season opener against TCU, the UNC basketball program is making sure they don't get lost in the limelight.
On social media, the UNC basketball program shared a hype video to pull on everyone's heart strings. Captioned "Ready to be back," the video showcases the exciting scenes around the Dean Smith Center, providing great footage of the best fans in the world cheering on the Tar Heels.

Of course, it's important to live in the moment, especially when we're about to embark on a new journey in college football that has the potential to be a great one. However, most Tar Heel fans (including myself) have that countdown to tip off saved in their phones, ready to see what this new-look squad can bring to the table this upcoming season.
It's okay to be excited for both the start of UNC football and UNC basketball this upcoming school year. Being pumped for both isn't a bad thing by any means: it just shows that you love some North Carolina Tar Heels athletics and look forward to watching both (among many other sports) compete throughout the 2025-2026 academic year.
