The UNC basketball program's final non-conference tune-up will have them heading into the Christmas break feeling excellent.

Even though they fell just a point shy of biscuits, the Tar Heels dominated essentially from the opening tip-off to secure a 48-point victory over East Carolina on Monday night. The win makes it six in a row for the UNC basketball program, which will finish non-conference action with an impressive 12-1 record.

ECU had no answers

As expected, ECU had no way to stop essentially any of the Tar Heels starters. Caleb Wilson once again led the way with 21 points and 12 rebounds, marking the fifth consecutive game in which he's scored 20 or more points. Henri Veesaar had yet another double-double outing (16 points, 10 rebounds) in just 26 minutes, while Luka Bogavac found his stroke, finishing the night with 15 points. Seth Trimble was the Tar Heels' leading scorer in the first half and finished with 12 points of his own.

Everyone gets involved!

A total of 13 Tar Heels scored at least once in this game. The bench provided some strong production, including Jonathan Powell's 19 points and Isaiah Denis' six points in just eight minutes of work.

You can't forget the "Biscuit Boys," who put on a show at the end of the game. Evan Smith connected on a put-back layup, while Ivan Matlekovic added a nice floating jumper for a bucker of his own. Elijah Davis, the son of Hubert Davis, drained a three-pointer, his first bucket as a Tar Heel, to cap the night off in style.

What's next?

The fun is ready to begin.

Non-conference play is in the rearview, and ACC action is set to tip-off just before the new year. The UNC basketball program will host Florida State on December 30 to get conference action underway.
