It's very possible that multiple players with connections to the UNC baseball program could hear their name called during the 2025 MLB Draft.
Ahead of the start of the draft on July 13 in Atlanta, Perfect Game released its final 2025 MLB Draft Board. This list features the top 500 prospects available to be selected.

Here's a list of the UNC baseball players from last year's roster who made the cut:
Luke Stevenson - No. 44
Kane Kepley - No. 97
Matthew Matthijs - No. 287
Aidan Haugh - No. 335
Jake Knapp - No. 419
Additionally, a pair of Diamond Heel commits have also cracked the list. Left-handed pitcher Jackson Rose is ranked as the No. 311 player on the board while third baseman Matt McKnight (No. 324) is just a few spots behind.
Of course, these types of lists are very subjective, as players aren't necessarily guaranteed to be selected around the number they are ranked. Stevenson, who many view as a first round talent, might just hear his name called early on, being selected before the No. 44 overall pick even rolls around.
Two notable incoming transfers for the Tar Heels- Trace Baker and Owen Hull, are players who didn't make this list but could certainly hear their name called over the two-day event. Similar to the rising college freshmen, it all depends on where these players are selected, as they will have to make a decision to head to Chapel Hill or take the leap to begin their professional baseball careers.
The UNC baseball program had an influx of veteran talent this season. A group that fell one game short of a trip to Omaha, there are plenty of gems coming out of Chapel Hill in this year's draft class, as we'll have to wait and see which teams take chances on these Tar Heels.
