Coming off a season in which they secured an ACC Tournament title, the UNC baseball program has officially revealed its schedule for the 2026 season.
As expected, it's another challenging schedule for the Diamond Heels!

There's plenty to discuss regarding this year's slate of games, but let's start with the best place on Earth (no, not Disney World).
There's no place like home (North Carolina)
This schedule includes an unprecedented number of games within the state of North Carolina. Not only will the Diamond Heels take the field 37 times at Boshamer Stadium, but they will also play 48 of their 56 games in North Carolina. This also doesn't include the annual ACC Tournament, which will be held in Truist Field in Charlotte.
This schedule will be very competitive
In total, 17 teams that North Carolina will face in 2026 finished the 2025 season inside the top 100 of the RPI. Of those 17, 12 were ranked among the top 75. To add to that, seven of the Diamond Heels' 2026 opponents made the NCAA postseason, three of which advanced to the Super Regionals, while two made it all the way to the College World Series.
When will the season start?
February 13.
The UNC baseball program will start the season with a big-time matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers. This will be the first time ever that the Diamond Heels will face off against the Hoosiers.
In terms of ACC play, the Tar Heels will host Virginia to get conference action going for a three-game set at Boshamer Stadium.
How's the ACC slate looking?
The Diamond Heels will host the following ACC schools for regular season series:
Virginia (Mar. 6-8)
Louisville (Mar. 20-22)
Boston College (April 2-4)
Georgia Tech (April 17-19)
Pitt (May 8-10)
North Carolina will travel to play the following conference squads:
Cal (Mar. 13-15)
Notre Dame (Mar. 27-29)
Clemson (April 10-12)
Duke (April 24-26)
NC State (May 14-16)
The UNC baseball program will once again feature a new-look roster, but there are some returners who have the expectations extremely high for this year's squad. Don't worry, the Diamond Heels will be tested early and often throughout the 2026 regular season, as a run to Omaha, which last year's team fell just short of, is the main goal for this year's group.
