The top of the D1 Baseball Top 25 remains unchanged, as Scott Forbes and the UNC baseball program remain at No. 6 heading into the first full week of the college baseball season.

Four of the five teams ahead of the Diamond Heels went 3-0 on opening weekend. The lone team who lost, Virginia (No. 2 overall), finished the weekend with a 2-1 record, as the loss to Michigan wasn't enough to remove the Cavaliers from their previous ranking.

North Carolina made a statement against Texas Tech, as the Diamond Heels' pitching depth was well on display. The pitching made it easy on the offense, a group that did its fair share of damage over the three-game span, as the combination helped guide the Tar Heels to three victories to open up the 2025 campaign.

Scott Forbes and the UNC baseball program look to build on their opening weekend success this week when they play four games. They will host Kansas State on Tuesday afternoon at the Bosh and will compete against East Carolina in a three-game series from Friday to Sunday at various locations. While the first two games will be held in Greenville and Durham, respectively, the final game of the series will be held in Chapel Hill on Sunday afternoon.
