Seth Trimble and Jalen Washington are very familiar with one another.

Not only were they both part of North Carolina's 2022 recruiting class, they are close friends as well, maintaining a bond that began during their time in Chapel Hill.

Of course, Trimble remained at UNC for his entire college career while Washington transferred to Vanderbilt to close out his collegiate journey, but that hasn't changed their relationship one bit. In fact, it's likely that the two have had some epic duos in practice when they were both wearing the Carolina Blue uniform.

This week, both Trimble and Washington had the opportunity to compete in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, a camp that is restricted to college basketball seniors. As both players aim to continue their careers at the professional level, they squared off against each other in the final day of the event, meeting at the rim for an epic showdown.

Unfortunately for Washington, Trimble doesn't care who is meeting him at the rim. He will find a way to show no mercy!

Seth Trimble posterizes Jalen Washington in a Tar Heel on Tar Heel crime

Call the Chapel Hill police: we're about to witness a former Tar Heel on Tar Heel crime!

After throwing down a vicious dunk earlier in the event, Trimble had one more left in his bag, this one unfortunately at the expense of his former teammate and good friend Washington.

Trimble drove to the basket, as you know the only thing on his mind was to finish strong at the rim. Washington saw his former teammate driving and thought it was a good idea to try and contest the dunk attempt, a plan that didn't go very well for him.

It's very safe to say that Trimble won this battle and will hold the bragging rights for at least the forseeable future!

The hope is that this won't be the last of the on-court battles between the former Tar Heels. There's no doubt that Washington wants a chance at revenge, as being posterized (especially by a good friend of yours), is not something any basketball player wants on their resume!

All in all, it's good fun between two former Tar Heels. Trimble has thrown down plenty of dunks throughout his career, but this one might rank near (or at the top of) the list!
