As we all know, Tyler Hansbrough dominated the Duke Blue Devils during his college career at North Carolina.
Even though it's been quite some time since Hansbrough suited up for the Tar Heels (as we're closing in on 20 years since his last collegiate game!), "Psycho T" always makes sure to remind Blue Devils fans that he still absolutely owns their basketball program.
Tyler Hansbrough latest trolling of Duke adds to his living legend status
This week, Hansbrough participated as an instructor for a youth golf clinic at Raleigh’s TriGolf (home of the Triangle’s First Tee organization). He provided some words of encouragement and instruction to the large group of children who attended the event.
During a Q&A session with the kids, Hansbrough was asked a variety of questions, including one that gave him the perfect opportunity to troll Duke.
The question: Would Hansbrough rather get a hole-in-one or beat Duke again?
Hansbrough's response: “I’ve beaten Duke enough, so I’ll take the hole-in-one.”
Fittingly, "Psycho T" had a sly smile on his face while answering the question. Given that he owned Duke throughout his college basketball career, Hansbrough chose the rarer option in the posed "would you rather" question, as beating Duke was a common occurrence during his time at North Carolina.
Without a doubt, Tyler Hansbrough is a living legend, as his latest jab at Duke serves as a friendly reminder that he still, to this day, owns the Duke Blue Devils.
Of all the accolades he secured throughout his playing career, the one that might mean a little bit more is the fact that Duke students never saw the Blue Devils defeat the Tar Heels on their home court during his four-year career. While Duke fans won't admit it, there's a reason that many refer to their home basketball arena as "Hansbrough Indoor Stadium."
While he jokingly said he would take the hole-in-one, let's face the facts: deep down, if Hansbrough had another crack at Duke, we all know he would take the opportunity in a heartbeat, as beating the Blue Devils is simply in his blood.
