RJ Davis sets single-game scoring record at the Dean Dome

Among the many memorable performances that RJ Davis strung together during his historic season, not many (if any) could top what he did against the Miami Hurricanes on February 26.

Davis connected on 14 of his 22 shots from the field, including 7-11 from beyond the arc, leading the UNC basketball program to a nail-biting victory over the Hurricanes. Needless to say, the Tar Heels needed every one of his 42 points that evening.

Not only was his 42 points a new career-high, but it also rewrote the UNC basketball record books. Davis topped Tyler Hansbrough's previous record of 40 points for the most ever by a Tar Heel in a single game at the Dean E. Smith Center.

When we look back at a year in which RJ Davis was named the ACC Player of the Year and earned consensus first-team All-American honors, this night serves as one of the headliners of his incredible season.
