With some top 2026 recruiting targets off the board, the focus for the UNC basketball program now shifts to other potential prospects.

One of those players is Maximo Adams, a top-25 ranked recruit. Originally scheduled to visit North Carolina over Halloween weekend, Adams has made a slight change to his plans.

Don't worry, he's still visiting Chapel Hill, but it will be sooner than originally expected.

Travis Branham of 247Sports reported that Adams has moved up his official visit to North Carolina to this weekend. Before you read too much into this, it's important to note that this seems to be a move catered to his current playing schedule.

Adams and his team are playing in an event this weekend in Huntersville, North Carolina. Given he'll be somewhat near the area, Adams likely figured it would be more efficient to visit Chapel Hill during this weekend trip, essentially killing two birds with one stone.

For someone from the California area, this does make a lot of sense logistically speaking.

While we would all love to view this as a move to get him on campus earlier (hoping to seal the deal in his recruitment), it's important to take this slight schedule change at face value. It doesn't mean that the visit can't seal the deal for Adams in terms of finding his future home, but the decision to move up the visit is more tied to his playing schedule rather than rushing to make his way to North Carolina.

Adjust your recruiting visits schedules: Maximo Adams is arriving on campus a week earlier.
