The UNC women's basketball program is heading to Paris!

Courtney Banghart and the Tar Heels will open the 2026-2027 season in Paris, France on November 2, 2026. They will take on Oklahoma in non-conference action as part of the Oui-Play Paris 2026 event.

Yes, the 2025-2026 season literally started on Monday, but hey, this is cool to see!

The UNC women's basketball program will be following the trend of teams making their way to international grounds next school year. Bill Belichick and the UNC football program are slated to kick-off the 2026 season in Ireland, and the women's basketball program will follow a few months later by making the trip to Paris, France to square off with the Sooners.

If you've ever wanted to go to Paris, this is the perfect chance! Who wouldn't want to see the iconic Eiffel Tower while also getting a chance to watch the UNC women's basketball program in action?!

Packages for next year's event are already on sale, as fans will definitely want to grab theirs while they are still available! Get your passports ready, pack your Carolina Blue gear, and let's get a huge support group of Tar Heels to Paris to support the UNC women's basketball program when they begin the 2026-2027 season.
