Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program are wasting no time recruiting their priority targets from the Class of 2027.

Following their victory over Miami, North Carolina extended its first scholarship offer to a member from the 2027 class. That offer goes to five-star forward CJ Rosser, who was at the Dean Smith Center on Saturday afternoon.

Rosser is a 6-foot-9 forward who fits the "stretch four" mold in the UNC basketball program's system. A North Carolina native, Rosser is coming off a strong sophomore season, averaging 18.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game, guiding his high school program to an impressive 20-6 record.

What the experts have to say:

"Rosser is a thin and mobile forward (who) possesses a real inside-out game. During the summer, his production was a bit hit-or-miss, but the buckets he did get were very loud. Rosser has an abundance of physical tools at his disposal. When reviewing film of his sophomore (season), we can see that Rosser has shown that he can step out and knock down jumpers from beyond the three-point line and beat big men off the dribble. He also displayed his ability as a budding two-way player with tremendous versatility on the defensive end." Eric Bossi- 247Sports Director of Recruiting

It's still very early in the recruiting process for the Class of 2027, but it appears that the UNC basketball program is convinced that Rosser would be a tremendous fit in Chapel Hill.

Now that an offer has been extended his way, look for the Tar Heels to put the full-court press on to secure a commitment from him when the timing is right down the road.
