The recruitment of AJ Dybantsa is heating up!

Dybantsa, the No. 1-ranked player in the Class of 2025, has narrowed his recruitment down to a "Final Four." As expected, Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program are one of the four finalists.

North Carolina is joined by Alabama, BYU, and Kansas as the programs still in the mix. While he narrowed down his recruitment, seeing these four teams still alive isn't very surprising given the intel that has surfaced over the last few weeks.

Dybantsa is considered a generational-type of talent, as many believe he'll be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. While his college career is only expected to last one season, the four teams still remaining would love to have that year happen on their respective campus.

I don't know about you, but the thought of Dybantsa wearing a North Carolina uniform going up against Cameron Boozer (Duke commit) twice during the 2025-2026 season would be insane to watch!

For now, the Tar Heels will have to find a way to leapfrog BYU, the presumed favorite in his recruitment. While BYU is the considered favorite, don't count out the UNC basketball program just yet, as the Tar Heels are still making a heavy push to land the best talent that the Class of 2025 has to offer.
