What a drive to get the Bill Belichick era underway!
All it took was seven plays for the UNC football program to march 83 yards down the field for its first touchdown of the 2025 season.
North Carolina came out of the gate with a heavy emphasis on the run game. After picking up a pair of first downs, Belichick let his new quarterback, Gio Lopez, air it out, and the results were immediate.

Lopez connected with Jordan Shipp for a 39-yard grab, setting the Tar Heels up with great field position. Shipp would add another catch before Caleb Hood found the end zone for the score.

You couldn't have asked for a better start for the UNC football program, especially with how hyped the fan base was going into this game. Scoring immediately sent Chapel Hill into a frenzie, as fans in attendance couldn't even hear the Public Address Announcer speaking on the intercom!
Now, the first touchdown of the season is out of the way. It's time to add more points to the board!
